Day #39

Well Thanksgiving was so hard - and in no way did I stick to the Medifast diet HOWEVER, I did eat very small portions of whatever I had. And somehow have lost 4 more pounds in 8 days! I have 15 pounds to go! My size 12 pants look ridiculously baggy now so I can not longer wear them at all. I am getting some new Medifast food this week and the Lemon Meringue bars are included and I am really excited about them. My mom let me have one of hers and I think they are my favorite! I went to buy a black blazer for work today and was able to buy a size small!! Back to the diet hardcore this week to try and shed these pounds by Christmas!

Day #31

Well I lost 6 more pounds since last time I weighed (about a week ago). I am now at 157 lbs and cannot believe I only have 19 pounds to go! I have to confess - I had a breakdown yesterday and ate a couple of bites of macaroni and cheese and some mashed potatoes, and a couple of Twizzlers (one of my favorite things besides ice cream). But I am back on track today (weekends are so hard)! My size 10 jeans are feeling looser and looser and people keep commenting on how much thinner my face is looking - which is very motivating. We bought a weight scale yesterday so I think it might help keep me on track if I see a scale every time I walk in the bathroom :) I am starting to get so excited about how close I am to the transition phase of Medifast, as well as the shopping trip I am going to go on when I hit my target weight! Until next weigh-in...

Day # 24

Ok I weighed myself last night and I lost 4 more pounds! I am comfortably in a size 10 pants (2 more sizes to go!) and I have 25 more pounds to lose. I did indulge in a few bites of french onion dip this weekend (eeep!) but I am back on track since yesterday. I have been reading about how carbs can kick your body out of ketosis, so I am really going to focus on NO CHEATING from here on out. I am drinking some coffee with fat free creamer right now and just ate my bowl of Medifast Peach Oatmeal with Splenda (which makes it so much better!) I cannot believe I have lost 15 pounds already. If I can lose 5 this week that is 20 pounds in the first month! I am just so motivated at this point. What a great Christmas present if I can fit into a size 5/6 pant by then! All you Medifasters, this diet really works. I can't even imagine the progress I would see if I was actually working out a little. My goal this week is to walk 30 minutes a day for 4 days. It is cooling off here in Texas so a nice brisk walk will be pretty refreshing! Anyway, until next time!

Day #16

Well it is Day #16 and I did cheat last night by having ONE enchilada that my mother-in-law made me. I felt so horrible and guilty after eating it! It only motivated me even more to stay on track. I stepped on a scale last night and I am down about 8 or 9 pounds and I feel great! 29 more pounds to go! My pre-pregnancy jeans are fitting me, but I want to fit into a couple of pairs of jeans from college. That will be amazing! I received my second shipment of food which included Oatmeal Raisin Bars (awesome) and the Ranch Soy Crisps (SO GOOD!) We ate at Texas Roadhouse last week and I had a steak and steamed vegetables and brought my own salad dressing. It was nice to be able to eat out but eat healthy! I have discovered the Fresh Market section at HEB that serves all kinds of cooked meals that include Roast Turkey, Grilled Shrimp and Grilled Chicked, grilled Asparagus, steamed vegetables, etc. I have been buying a plate for lunch everyday, eating half, and taking the rest home to eat the next day. It is so GOOD! I DID however manage to turn down cupcakes at work yesterday, and that was so hard, but I felt so good for being able to do it. I am LOVING diet cherry pepsi right now, especially mixed with a French Vanilla Medifast Shake. Anyway, until next time!

Day #4

Alright everyone, I am on the morning of day #4 and I am still sticking to it. I DID, however, sneak in 6 or 7 candy corn Saturday night, but that is it. How was I supposed to resist an OPEN glistening container of fresh candy corn sitting out at my friend's house? HUH???Anyway, I successfully turned down hot dogs, burgers, potato salad and pizza this weekend. Yesterday was the day I turned down potato salad and cake and it was not near as hard as the previous two days! I still have not weighed my self for a starting weight but I have a round-a-bout idea what I am starting at. I plan on hopefully weighing in every Sunday, but the problem is I need to buy a scale first. Yesterday was cool because I can have any meat I want, so my husband's grandparents barbequed and I got to eat BBQ chicken AND ribs. Oh my gosh it was so good. I felt like I was cheating. I am really enjoying the Medifast Dutch Chocolate shakes I have every day as a meal. They are SO good. And apparently you can add Diet Coke or root beer to the vanilla ones and it tastes like a float. I WILL be ordering that flavor on my next order. Today I plan on having two hard-boiled eggs, scrambled egg whites with picante sauce and white mushrooms, and fresh spinach leafs with vinaigrette dressing for my lean and green meal . I am SO looking forward to it :)

Day #2

Alrighty, so it is nearing the end of day #2 and I am still feeling pretty strong. Last night we went to a party where they were serving hamburgers, hot dogs, ranch dip and beer. Four things that top my favorite foods list. But I refused! I even refused a slice of birthday cake and I thought that might have been the most difficult thing I ever had to do. It seems like the highlight of my day is my "big" meal (the lean green meal which consists of a meat and veggies). And I am SO HUNGRY by the time I eat it! I can also have eggs in lieu of a meat, so today I decided to have an Eggbeater omelet. I am allowed two cups of Eggbeaters which I could not even finish! I added 5 sliced black olives and half a cup of sliced white mushrooms and it was GREAT! I am allowed one snack a day which can be a pickle, four celery sticks, the snacks that Medifast provides or a short list of other small snacks along the lines of celery. (ugh) I had the Apple Cinnamon crisps today and they were really good! I had a chocolate shake for breakfast and it really did supress my appetite for the better part of the morning. The good thing is I can have an unlimited number of diet drinks! They say the first three days are crucial and if you cheat, its like you are starting all over again. And by the end of two weeks you should lose your carb craving....hmmm...but what if I'm a carb-a-holic??? My mom said she lost 18 lbs. in her first month on this diet. That would be AWESOME....Anyway, until next time!

The Day Before I Start This Dreaded Weight-Loss Thingy...

So, its the day before I am planning to start my little weight loss journey. I think I just need to trick myself into not liking food. I am a little nervous because 35 lbs. is a LOT and I have not been 140 lbs. since high school! I am using the Medifast diet and I want to keep you all in the "know" as to how I am progressing. Looks like I will be eating quite a few Eggbeaters, Boca Burgers and fresh spinach. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...
